Life and Legacy
Mary, the Mother of Jesus, is the most honored saint in the Catholic Church. Born in Nazareth, she was chosen by God to be the mother of His Son. Her life exemplifies perfect obedience to God's will and unwavering faith.
After the Resurrection of Christ, Mary remained with the Apostles and the early Church. She is venerated as the Queen of Heaven and Earth, and the Church teaches that she was assumed into heaven at the end of her earthly life.
